Learning Objectives The dissertation involves in
depth research on a topic approved by the appointed supervisor
and head of department. Besides acquiring knowledge in the
technical aspects of the research, students will be required to
write a dissertation proposal, carry out literature review,
undertake research and data analysis and submit a written
dissertation. Content The dissertation proposal must be consistent with the research interests of the department Assessment The student is expected to begin work on the dissertation in the first semester of 1st year and carry out consistent work throughout the two years. The student is expected to hold regular meetings with the respective supervisor to assess progress. The work relating to the dissertation shall be regularly assessed by the supervisor, as it progresses during the two years, while a final mark for the completed dissertation will be given at the end of the second year.
