Mr. Vincent Vella
Director of
Studies, Foundation Studies Certificate Course and Lecturer in English
Language
Vincent Vella has taught Pedagogy at the University of Malta
for a number of years. He has also worked as an Education Officer, organising
in-service training courses for teachers within the Education Division. He is
presently employed by the University
of Malta as a Director
of Studies of the Foundation Studies Certificate Course. Mr Vella obtained
the degree of Bachelor of Arts from the University of Malta
and the degree of Master of Education from the University of Exeter, U.K. He
is also a writer of short stories and plays. Some of his works have won
prizes both locally and abroad. His most notable successes were the two
occasions when he was regional winner for Europe
in the BBC World Service Radio Playwriting Competition for 1999 and 2005.
Some of his plays have been put on locally as well as abroad. He has also
published a number of books among them the novel ‘Inside The Horse’ and the
collection of plays in Maltese entitled ‘Bagalja Holm’.
