Posted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
to perform
the duties of
Protocol Secretary.
1981 Designated Head of
Protocol.
1982-2000 Formed part of the Presidential
Suite on State Visits
to various
countries.
1989 Member of the Committee appointed
to organise the
celebrations marking
the 25th Anniversary of
Independence. In
December of the same year,
supervised the
extensive arrangements for the
Summit Bush-Gorbachev
held in Malta.
1990
Appointed member of the
organising Committee from
the Government side for
the Pope’s visit to Malta.
1992
Took active part in the
preparations for the State
Visit to Malta of Her
Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
and His Royal Highness
the Duke of Edinburgh.
1993
Appointed Director of
Protocol.
2000 Retired on superannuation.
As from 2001 have been
serving as Adviser on Protocol matters at the Office of the Prime Minister.
